Thanks to Teachers exemption (Lärarundantaget) - academic staff’s intellectual property rights, researchers at Swedish universities own the right to their research results. When you commence collaboration with companies or other external actors it is important that you establish an agreement that clearly shows your and your collaborating partner’s mutual rights and obligations. The agreements can regulate when you have the option of publishing your research results and who owns the rights to them.
