SLU company wins the Bona Postulata Prize 2021
SciIns AB, which was started by the SLU researchers Åsa Berggren and Anna Jansson, is one of this year's winners of the Bona Postulata innovation prize.
Bona Postulata is an industry prize that seeks to encourage Uppsala companies with great potential for growth. Behind the prize are 18 well-known companies and industrial organisations in Uppsala County. This year ten companies are being awarded the prize, which comprises advanced training and provision of mentors in order to further hone the participants' entrepreneurial skills.
SciIns is active in the field of insect breeding, and offers healthy, viable and productive house crickets for sustainable development of large-scale insect breeding for food and animal feed.
"We’re delighted to be receiving this industry prize. We deem the company to have great potential for growth. This is stimulating, and something others also believe. We are now working to find investors who can contribute towards the company developing and accessing the international market. The goal is to be not only the first but also the biggest!" say Anna Jansson and Åsa Berggren.
